Special 4th of July interview: TN INFORMER host and co-founder of TNCSS David Vance welcomed Mike Maharrey from the Tenth Amendment Center. Mike is one of the best at the Tenth Amendment Center. TN Informer host and co-founder of TNCSS interviewed Danielle Goodrich the founder of East Tennessee Freedom. Dave and Danielle discussed the TN State Climate Action Plan (CCAP) I had covered this topic and One Health in my Friday Substack. I also attended a ZOOM meeting with TDEC about PCAP & CCAP and took some notes. I did share the info I heard during this ZOOM conference with both Dave and Danielle. I will share the notes with you below. If any of the notes do not make sense to you don’t hesitate to contact me. Remember, they are my notes from the call. I asked 4 or 5 questions and they did answer all of my questions and those answers are part of my notes. I wanted to ask about how they can create a plan for the entire state when so very few Tennesseans had any input but I had already over stayed my welcome with the number of questions I did ask BUT I will be sure to ask if there is another ZOOM call on the PCAP. Be sure to listen to the great interview too. NOW that you are armed with information PLEASE call Governor Lee, your state Rep and your state Senator and demand that TDEC withdraw the TWO applications they submitted for a total of $488 million to implement this statewide plan. It is a lot easier to stop before they get the money than after. The grants have not been awarded yet so now is the time to hit them hard on this issue. We MUST stop taking federal money because it is laced with strings that do not benefit Tennesseans. FIVE brave states refused to apply for the money to create the PCAP/CCAP and they refused to apply for the money to implement these plans. On July 1, 2024 the geoengineering bill took effect (Pub. Ch. 709). I have received many reports from Tennesseans and pictures that since July 1st they are still seeing spraying in our skies. I was able to speak with Rep. Fritts (sponsor) about this and asked him how the law will be enforced. That is still something that needs to be worked out. He knows more work is needed but getting this law passed was a huge battle and accomplishment. He is working with other states and hoping to get a few more states on board which will give us a better shot at enforcement. He is aware there was no enforcement agency in the bill and he acknowledged there is more work to be done. So be patient. Sometimes ya gotta eat the elephant one bite at a time but I have full faith in Rep. Fritts. He is very passionate about this issue.
On July 27, 2024 the TN Alliance will be hosting a debate on the subject of nullification. Jeffrey Cobble will debate in support of nullification and Mark Pulliam will present the opposing side of the debate. Michael Patrick Leahy from the TN The debate will be 2 hours and it is our hope to record this debate by a professional and have it presented in a professional manner for wide scale distribution. The Tennessee Legislative Report Card - it is obvious a lot of work went into this tool and I hope you find it useful - If you pull up a particular legislator there is an area “Citizen Reveiw” in which to submit public comment about the legislator. Take your time and really study this site. I highly recommend watching the video before going to the site - 23 min. VIDEO/REPORT CARD (a link to the report card is under the video)
Early voting starts on Friday, July 12. Election day is August 1st. TN has a very poor record for voter turn out especially in the primary elections. Lets rectify that reputation during this election cycle. It is not only important to change the regime at the top we need change at the state and local level too and we need to make sure the good guys running in our state legislation that have opponents get elected again. And yes we do have some very good legislators and we need to make sure the remain in office doing the work for the people. Those in office that have proven to be in office to make the Governor happy or a lobbyist or donor happy instead of their constituents we need to get them out of office and we do have many of these legislators running this year. That won’t happen unless you make good decisions on who you vote for and then get out and vote in the primary and then the general election in November. The primary elections are extremely important. The primary determines who will be your next legislators or who you will vote for in November. NAME RECOGNITION IS NOT RESPONSIBLE VOTING.
Don’t forget our petition. We have a paper petition and we also have an on line petition. We will be collecting these petitions until the start of the 2025 legislative session in January 2025. I will then deliver the petitions to the sponsors of the nullification process legislation. This petition is to be signed by citizens of Tennessee only. If you are willing to collect signatures I recommend the paper petition. For single signatures I recommend the on line petition and you can share the link with friends, family and neighbors.
