TN Stands School Choice Symposium - Moderated by Shawn Graham Managing Director of Conservative Christians in Tennessee. The debate is between Gary Humble (opposing) and Trey Cleek (supporting) - this voucher issue is not about school choice. TN already has every school choice option available. This boils down to making the taxpayer pay not only for public education but to pay for private education as well. Instead of fixing why public education is broken or doing the hard work to get back to real education they take the easy road and buy in to another shiny agenda (at the expense of the tax payer and the children) that will cost a fortune and not improve results. The snake oil salesmen pushing this agenda know the real agenda is to get ALL children into the same failed education system. One of the goals of Common Core was that there could be no outliers. Outliers were the children in private, religious and home education and thus the voucher scheme. Parents and legislators truly have not learned anything from the days of Common Core and other education schemes that put a lot of money in some folks pockets but did nothing to improve education. And when these schemes fail no one is held accountable. It has been our children that pay the price for their incompetence and unwillingess to address the root cause of our failed education system. I know many well-intentioned individuals who just don't get it. I believe a key reason that they don't get it is because they hang around those pushing the agenda, and the well-intentioned individuals fail to realize those individuals are pushing a global agenda. They believe the global agenda is only pushed nationally and global. Au contraire!!! Some of the most dangerous pushers of the global agenda are operating at the state and local levels.
Until the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) is overturned and politicians with morals, principles, and guts outnumber the puppets selected and supported by both major parties, the children of our country will continue to be deliberately dumbed down by TEPTB (The Evil Predators That Be). For those who believe this is a Democrat issue, the ESSA was shepherded through Congress by Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and SOH Paul Ryan (R-WI), with help from certain Demoncrats, in 2015. Both parties are in on the con, and Betsy DeVos was a disaster atop the Department of Education.
